Jessie Reyez with 6LACK - "Imported" (FMLY / Island Records / Universal Music Canada): Toronto-based singer/songwriter Jessie Reyez seems an unstoppable force these days. Last week she won SOCAN's Breakout Songwriter Award plus two SOCAN Dance Music Awards for her work with major stars Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa, and Sam Smith. That followed her 2018 Juno Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year.

Fall 2018's second EP, Being Human in Public was a critical and commercial hit,  and her music has now found almost half a billion streams worldwide. Last year, her single “Figures” was officially certified gold in the US. She's not resting on her laurels, as a debut full-length album is skedded sometime before year's end.

It is preceded by this new single that has hit stamped all over it. Reyez imported 6LACK, a Grammy-nominated rapper and singer/songwriter from Atlanta, to turn it into a smooth R&B duet. The sensual video won't hurt its commercial chances either.

Reyez begins US tour dates at the Sol Blume Festival in Sacramento, FL, on April 27. She plays three European fests in June, then joins Osheaga in Montreal, Aug. 2.
